Principle and production method of PCBA test fixture

The PCBA test fixture (test frame) is widely used in the entire PCBA production process. It is mainly used to test the PCB board after the SMT patch and DIP plug-in are completed. Among them, the ICT test is mainly used, that is, the circuit is tested through the test point. The electrical conductivity of the board can be determined to determine whether the entire PCB board is soldered successfully. The PCBA test fixture is the main tool used to assist in the completion of this test.

The principle of the PCBA test fixture is very simple. The metal probes are used to connect the pads or test points on the PCB board. When the PCB board is powered on, the typical values such as the voltage value and current value of the test circuit are obtained, so as to observe the test. The PCBA test fixtures are all customized, and are determined according to the size of the PCB board to be tested, the location of the test point, and the value to be tested. Acrylic, plastic, metal probes, display screens, wires, and simple PCB circuit boards are mainly used to complete the entire production.

The quality of the PCBA test frame is related to the efficiency and pass-through rate of the ICT test. Due to its long-term and frequent operation, it has high requirements for its production quality, and PCBA manufacturers need to pay enough attention.
