PCB company's AOI problems and future development trends

Although AOI has higher efficiency than manual visual inspection, after all, the results are obtained through the collection and analysis of the graph, and the related software technology of image analysis processing has not yet reached the human brain level, so it is inevitable that AOI's misjudgment and missed judgment are inevitable for pcb company. At present, the main problems of AOI in using are as follows.

1. More tin, less tin, offset, skewed process requirements are defined differently, which is easy to lead to misjudgment.

2.The capacitance values are different but the size and color are the same, which is easy to cause misjudgment.

3. The character processing method is different, and the polarity judgment accuracy caused by the difference is great.

4. Most AOI understanding of the virtual welding is ambiguous, causing a misjudgment.

5. There are detection problems of shielding ring, shielding cover and shielding point

6. It is impossible to detect solder joints that are invisible to flip-chip components such as BGA and FC.

7. Most AOI programming is complicated, cumbersome and long-adjusted. It is not suitable for research units, small OEM pcb company, multi-standard small-volume production units.

8. Most AOI products are slow to detect, and a few AOI using scanning methods are faster, but the misjudgment and missed judgment rate is higher.

9. Some AOI with lower resolution cannot be used for OCR character recognition detection.
