PCB in the future
In any electronic product, PCBs are needed. In recent years, electronic products have developed rapidly. Mobile phones, computers, game devices, and recently hot AR, VR, 3D and other smart devices are developing rapidly, which will definitely drive the development of the PCB industry. What are the development trends of the PCB industry? We mainly introduce the following points:
In 2012, the global PCB output value reached 54.31 billion US dollars, and by 2017, the global PCB will maintain a growth rate of 3.9%. The overall size of 2017 is expected to reach 65.654 billion US dollars. With the rise and promotion of new medical electronic devices, the Internet of Things, smart homes, and smart cities will increase the growth of the electronic information industry. It is predicted that by the middle of 2020, PCBs will exceed 300 billion US dollars.
In 2012, China's PCB output value reached 21.636 billion US dollars, accounting for 39.84% of the global PCB output value. From 2008 to 2012, the annual compound growth rate of China's PCB production value reached 9.52%, higher than the global growth level. In 2017, China's PCB output value will reach 28.972 billion US dollars, accounting for 44.13% of the global total output value.
3. Industrial structure
With the rapid development of technology in the electronic circuit industry, the chip-type and integrated applications of components are becoming more and more widespread, and the demand for high density of PCBs by electronic products is more prominent. The PCB is gradually developing in the direction of high density, high integration, fine line, small aperture, large capacity, light and thin, and the technical content and complexity are continuously improved.
High-end PCB products such as high-rise boards, HDI boards, IC carrier boards, flexible boards, and rigid-flex boards have begun to dominate the PCB market. It is estimated that by 2018, the proportion of high-tech boards represented by high-rise boards, HDI boards, IC carrier boards and flexible boards will reach 65.58%, becoming the mainstream of the market.
