Several matters need to be note about reflow welding

Be sure to confirm the following precautions before using in reflow welding.

Conditions of welding:

1. If the capacitor is suddenly heated, a large temperature difference will lead to the deformation of the inner parts, resulting in breakage or lower bending resistance of the circuit board.

In order to prevent damage to capacitors, please preheat capacitors and installed circuit boards.

For preheating conditions, welding temperature and temperature difference of capacitor surface temperature

The Delta is smaller, the influence on capacitors is more smaller.

The smaller the T, the smaller the influence on capacitors.

In addition, it can also prevent the phenomenon of sticking tablets, erecting tablets, shifting and so on.

2. When external electrodes are tin plated, the wettability of solder decreases when the melting point of solder is lower than that of tin, which leads to poor soldering. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the installation and confirm the solderability beforehand.

3. Similar to the preheating temperature difference, when the cleaning fluid is put in immediately after the welding, the air cooling process should be set to ensure that the cooling temperature difference can meet the T of Table 1.

Dosage of solder:

1. If the solder paste used is too thick, it will lead to excessive solder consumption in reflow soldering. This will make the patch more vulnerable to mechanical and thermal stresses than the circuit board, leading to patch damage.

2. Solder paste is too late, it will result in insufficient fixed strength on the external electrodes, which will lead to the patch falling off from the circuit board.

3. Make sure that the solder paste is evenly distributed on the end surface with a thickness of at least 0.2 mm.
